    Curriculum of Winston Guy of Costa Barboza, Brazilian,  married, born on Pôrto Alegre - RS, 1.87 mts of height and established the Ilhabela - SP - since 01/1996.

Formation

   - Amateur Arrais since 1984, Amateur
    since 1986 and Marine Master Regional one of Deck since 1996,
   - Bachelor in Business Administration for the College Oswaldo Cruz in 1985,
  - Assistant Graduated of the Course Dale Carnegie of Public Relations and Speaking
    during eight years up to 1984,
  - Speak English with experience in the Exterior

Experience  In Another Countries
- Of July  the October of 1992, was in trip for land knowing the main ports and marinas in:

    Europe: Portugal   - Cable of the Rocas, City of the Port, Marina Vilamoura and  Faro in the Algarve .

               England - Brazilian Reporter for filming in the Regatta Cowes Week, Isle of White, South Hampton .
                                        Knew the Marinas the side of Rio Tâmisa.

                                       In  Greenwich Village , knew the sailboat Cutty Sark and the sailboat of Sir Chichester
                                        solitary sailor, member of the English court that made around alone to the world.
                                        Was in contact with bibliography of courses given for the RYA (Royal Yachting
                                        Association mainly for sailboats) of where based its courses beyond of national
                                        bibliographies as " Security in the Sea " and others.  

North America: United States

 - Fort Lauderdale , was working and living on board  of sailboat of 43 ', 2 masts, Model Gulf Star 43 Mark II, to make a trip around the world for the equator.

Knew the preparative for the coming of the hurricane Andrews, which arrive in Miami and Key West mainly.
Has knowledge of the legislation and organization of the American Cost Guard as well as the works of US Sailing in U.S.A.

   

South America: Brazil 

- Volvo Ocean Race Virtual (game)2008/2009, is in 34.832 place between 200.000 virtual sailboats at 23/03/09 on Leg 5 form        Quindao on China to Rio de Janeiro on Brazil and is in 20.182 place of the Overall ranking of the 5 legs now.

- Was proprietor of motor boats of 10 and 13 feet during seven years in the region of the Reservoir of Guarapiranga in São Paulo City, Santos and Ilhabela on State of São Paulo.

- Proprietor and constructor of the sailboat " True Love ", model 19 Microtonner One Off, enrolled in the Capitania of Santos of since 1987, that make races on the Mini-0cean Class in the Reservoir of Guarapiranga obtaining some classifications.

- Sponsor of regattas for customers who had bought Bruma19 sailboat (model of 19 Microtonner) and regattas of the Mini-0cean Class.

- Sponsor and idealizer of the first Regatta in Solitary in the Reservoir of Guarapiranga to promote meetings and practice into owners of buyers of Bruma 19 sailboat, during three years. The regatta called Bruma Sollo.

- Owner of the sailboat " Ilha Sailing ", model MOD 30 ', enrolled in the Capitania of São Sebastião since 1996 under the record number 401-056722- 8 in activities of ocean sailing school.

 

- Proprietor of the Ilha Sailing Ocean School in Ilhabela - São Paulo since 1996, registered in  the City Hall of Ilhabela under of number 1592 and have he Card of CGC nº 00.996.899/0001-44 of Federal Receipt.

 

- Participated in the Regatta Santos-Rio of 1994 in sailboat of 34.5 feet,  1995 in sailboat of 38 feet, and 2003 in sailboat of 40 feet, with students.

 

  
- On sailing school use the methods of education and evaluation of indicated performances of ISSA - International Sailing School Association , amongst which they are members RYA - Royal Yachting Association, US Sailing and others Associations of School in world.

- Eleven years, working as representative of the Bruma Nautical Constructions Ltda. of Porto Alegre - Rio Grande do Sul, besides work with brokerage of cruise and regatta sailboats, giving technical support in the sale and after sale with sailing courses and equipment maintenance since 1986, (It made 500 new sailors in the State of São Paulo and Brazil).

- Ten years working in riggings, fiber glass and hardware, electrical system, maintenace of diesel motors, sale and maintenance of sailing with the Delta Sails Sailmakers of Rio de Janeiro and made delivery with sailboats.

 

  
- Nine years work on sales and support of sales of sails with Elvstron Sails and Cognac of he Rio de Janeiro .

 

  
- Three years constructing proper sailboat of 19' in fiberglass, besides participating of the construction and finishing of shipyards as MOD Yacht and TM yachts in sailboat of  23 the 43 '.

 

- From 1985 to 1995 making sales of new Bruma 19 and 23 proprietors in the Reservoir of Guarapiranga, Ibiuna, Avaré and in the Carioca, São Paulo ocean coast, beyond purchasers of other states that came the São Paulo and make support when these clients acquired big sailboats when make evolutions.(Make 503 new sailors in the State of São Paulo and Brazil).

 

  
- From 1996 teaching oceanic sailing for cruise and regatta in Ilhabela on board boat  of  30 feet (It made 437 new sailors in the State of São Paulo and Brazil ).

 

  
- Have 14.662 hours and 41.139 miles only sailed in courses of sailing between oceans, bays and reservoirs in these twenty five years.

 With a flotilla of 220 000 virtual boats we arrive at the city of Estocolmo in Sweden and this was the culminating point of 37.000 miles of ocean that we compete virtually and marked the final leg of game 2008/09 of the virtual oceanic regatta of the Volvo.

After much patience, cooperation and understanding during the nine months of this surprising trip through seas, geographies and cultures of most diverse since Alicante in Spain, we feel ourselves proud to have folloied the Saga of Torben João Signorini and Horácio Carabelli that they had made the same done of real form, and virtually we can of certain form understand the adventures through videos and depositions.

We can say that this diploma offered for the organizadores of the event, mark the level of international organization and the serious commitment with this mega enterprise, very organized well and that we feel in them proud to have sanctioned patiently the day by day of the first virtual regatta where the almost organization made 42 millions of hours in the game. It was life in the extremity for us all of the control of this game and the players.

This given diploma to our school of oceanic sailing, has the most intense flavor of victory although rank of 28.935 place in 212.000, what it is equivalent to say that our position was 13% of the world placed well or another form, we had 87% of tactical exploitation of the meteorological conditions, geographic and equipment choice optimum to face the situations virtually

It was a virtual trip that are a landmark in the life of the world today for front in terms of insertion to the media and knowledge of one of the oldest arts that were the navigation that long ago, spread the peoples for the world in realities and forms of culture and languages.

This same very old art today, with virtual medias, joined a great Tower of Babel with 212.000 sail-boats through the knowledge of the winds and situations of sea that the great finders of had long ago faced.

Lovely lesson of oceanic sailing and that it becomes this way one them bigger and better educative forms to teach our children to be citizens of a world better and more conscientious .
